The plastic waste must be removed from the sea as quickly as possible, i.e. before it is ground into microplastics by the surf and the friction in the sand and enters the food chain. We fish out the garbage and, in cooperation with the Winder Recycling Company in Davao, we use about 30 kilograms of marine waste (usually eight bags) to build sturdy and durable chairs for schools that are ideally suited to the tropical climate, as the high humidity quickly wears down chairs made of cheap wood. Even if the chairs are urgently needed, the best way is not to produce plastic. Meanwhile our chairs are already in three schools: San Isidro, Monkayo and Mati.
