A tree says more than 1,000 words

From Mama Earth Foundation you can buy a tree for 7,50$, which you will receive as a photo with its individual coordinates as a download link. Give trees as gifts for birthdays, Christmas or to your employees or customers. By doing so, you support our worldwide unique and transparent planting campaign myTree. What is so special about myTree?

Mama Earth poaches endemic trees and photographs each tree as it is planted. Each photo shows the coordinates of the planting site at the top. This makes our plantings transparent because each tree planted has different coordinates. So, each tree photo exists only once! We want to achieve absolute transparency with this, as with our other actions. The owner can enter the pictured coordinates in Google Earth and “fly” to his tree.

Project description

All planting projects are under the auspices of the Philippine Environmental Protection Agency (DENR). Several of the 23 tree species are already on the Red List. To accelerate the settlement of birds and animals, many baliti trees (common red stem fig) are planted, which attract monkeys and birds with their red seeds. The planted trees will be regreened by forest managers for three years and then left to fend for themselves.

Which trees are planted?

In the myTree program, we only plant trees that are not intended for commercial logging. Of the more than twenty different species, many are already on the Red List. Logging is prohibited and will be prosecuted.
